Excellent standing for my WHM, with the way I choose to setup gear. More HP for quick martyrs, Enmity down (more than the old Hedgehog Bomb), not that I’ve ever been a big proponent for equipping for Enmity – but it never hurts, more MP than my old standing piece (Holy Ampulla, which I still swap into for Cure V).. and I was able to sell Hedgehog Bomb. Yippee. :D

I actually got a Black Tathlum too, just forgot to snap a shot of that. :P

Now I have a matching set. ;) Sold the Umbra Cape as well, not really a point in having both, and I think overall average ends up about the same – blocking 6-12% damage on every hit or completely nullifying one or so occasional hit… /shrug.

This was a happy surprise. Saw these in the update notes and wanted them for Devotion, as the 4% HP/MP will do better for me than the 35HP Root Sabots gave. The other night, Kaeko and Oreo and I (BLM, THF, and BLM) went to La Vaule trying to get the key item stuff for the Splitting Heirs BC and came across the Orc Warmachine NM killing someone in another JP LS. We needed to run the way the NM was standing, or so we thought, and Kaeko also has a thing for just killing random NMs, so we dragged it back to zone and did the cheapie slip/nuke/zone kill – which only took time when certain moves would bind one of us or some such. At one point the other person who had tried to solo it brought some friends and tried to take off with it when we had it down to about 30%… obviously the zoning and such it’s going to go yellow. Chasing them, it was still yellow, so I ran after it and Stunned, landed Poison again, etc. I had no idea the shoes even dropped off of it, as I hadn’t gotten around to looking them up.

In any case, I’m happy, and my Devotion setup is getting ridiculous. If I finally get around to my Bomb Queen Ring, I’ll be around, what, 1550 HP? Then if I somehow maneuver things to carry River Gauntlets again… I could hit 1600 easy… which I wouldn’t for Devotioning a PLD, but RDMs would love me… :)

Ugly as fuck, but really quite the awesome pair of shoes.

Auronku beat me on that super awesome belt though, dropped for us in Qufim. Which, ironically, is the only piece I can actually wear as of yet. >.>

Also have done a couple level sync parties already. Maging doesn’t really matter so much what the fuck you wear, but going to 65 NIN from 75 is tough… especially when you’re rushing cuz the PT needs a tank so you don’t get any gear. I ended up swapping into pretty much all WS gear for TP’ing in.

Completely unrelated… the next morning I woke up and puked my guts out. I think that had more to do with bad sushi than a level sync pt. ;)

I am sorry that it took so long for updates, and unfortunately when you wait this long, I can’t really do much as far as witticisms or insights, it’s more just a chronicle. Things were just a little hectic with me, and unsettled, and I wasn’t in much of a mood to deal with in-game stuff more than I had to.

Keep an eye out though, should be updating very shortly with some sort of interesting news. :)
