It’s Not Over ‘Til the Cat Lady Sings.

I know. I surprised myself, honestly. I wasn’t really intending to move the blog, but after attempting to do this update on the old one and taking forever with every image upload, I said… screw it, I want a new look anyway. Why not a new site?

A note about the choice of title… it just ended up being this cute play on words that was apt on about four levels, so I couldn’t resist. The whole “fat lady sings” adage originates from opera, and my last blog site was opera.com; plus, “Ashira” itself does mean “I will sing” and I am a singer. And “cat” rhymes with “fat,” so you get the same meter and sound to the phrase. And I’m a Mithra… I don’t know, it just worked out so perfectly.

So far the biggest drawback for me here on wordpress: the spacing for smiley faces on this site drives me buggy. I’ll have to try my best to control my usage of them.

Well, that and the fact that I will want to split my topics by pages, which don’t show up on the main URL first page; only when you actually click directly to the new post (clicking title of post above). So I guess for now, I’ll just include links to next pages until I figure out something else. Or enough people say they don’t like me using pages or something.
